"I'm doing this interview because I care about you a lot, because you're part of why I can be whole as I am today, I'm very grateful, you supported me, you respected me in very difficult moments," she began, words dedicated to Pampito, host of the television show.

"Well, it's an ugly, moving day. I try to fill it with nice memories, today we're in another stage of mourning, I don't cry as much anymore, I try to hold on to the good things, but it doesn't stop being a crappy day," she replied to the question about how she felt on the anniversary of her ex-husband's passing.

She continued:"Our plan for today was different, which changed precisely because I prioritized being at home with her (her daughter), to give her some affection, to be present. Understanding and respecting that there are moments for everything."

Diego Leuco, current host of Peña del Morfi on Telefe, also shared his deep connection with Gerardo, the creator and former host of the program. In an emotional segment of the show,Leuco revealed that his relationship with the producer transcends the professional realm, becoming a significant personal bond that influenced his career and his life.

"I live in Gerardo's apartment. It's one of those coincidences, it's very crazy, very circular," he recounted and added:"I rent there and when I did, I didn't know it had been Gerardo's last home. When I signed with the real estate agent, almost as a joke, he says 'Gerardo lived here.'"

At the time of the move, Leuco was not involved in the Sunday program, he only had some conversations with the Rosario native about the possibility of joining,"My only connection is that I had already talked many times and Gerardo would tell me 'how I see you in Peña, what a thing for you.' We talked a lot on WhatsApp."

That's why, upon learning about the apartment, his first reaction was to call Carmela and say:"I've already rented it, but I'd feel bad not telling you. I feel it as a sign because Gerardo and I always had a beautiful bond and I wanted to share it."

Some months passed after this conversation and he received the call that would make him the host of the show,"Impossible not to think of Gerardo, impossible not to think of the times we talked about Peña, the times my dad had told me it was the right program for me. I'm completely happy."
