Former President Cristina Kirchner testified this Tuesday in the trial for the Notebooks of Corruption in the courts of Comodoro Py.
The former president is accused of having led an illegal association dedicated to collecting bribes from businessmen who benefited from public works contracts during her administration.
During his investigation, he decided not to answer questions and limited himself to making a presentation in which he harshly questioned judges and prosecutors.
Criticism of prosecutors and the judicial investigation
In her statement, Cristina Kirchner especially pointed to prosecutor Carlos Stornelli, who was in charge of the investigation during the investigation stage
.The former president argued that businessmen were pressured to testify against her and described the cause as “nonsense”.
He also said that it is difficult for him to trust the functioning of judicial institutions.

“I can die in prison”, the phrase that marked his statement
One of the strongest moments of his presentation was when he warned:
“With this Judicial Power I can die
in prison”.The phrase reflected his position in the face of the progress of the judicial process against him and his critical vision of the justice system.
After finishing his speech, he asked to leave the courtroom and did not remain to hear the statements of other defendants.
Distance with Julio De Vido in court
On the same day, former Planning Minister Julio De Vido was also due to testify.
The two met in Comodoro Py's AMIA room, but they didn't greet each other, despite having shared years of management and political closeness during Kirchnerism.
