The national deputy Esteban Paulón was strongly exposed after learning details of his last affidavit of assets, which include properties with strikingly low valuations compared to market prices.
According to the documentation submitted to the AFIP for the 2023 period, Paulón declared a house located in the province of Santa Fe with an area of 362 square meters for a value of USD 22,050. This is a figure that, at first glance, is well below the usual values for properties of that size.
The same statement also includes an apartment in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, acquired in December 2023, with a valuation of $9,350,750. Again, the amount declared is considerably lower than the average real estate market prices in Buenos Aires for similar units

Both properties are listed as purchased with “own income”, as indicated in the official form. In the case of the property in Santa Fe, it is also detailed that it is a “house room”, while the property in CABA is listed as a “department” with destination for “others”.

The dissemination of these data raised questions about the consistency of the reported valuations, especially in a context where the Argentine real estate market maintains much higher values even in
price correction scenarios.
The situation takes on greater political relevance given that Paulón has been trying to publicly position himself for months with unfounded criticism of the assets of national government officials, which rekindled the debate about the double rod of Kirchner's leaders and their lack of financial transparency.
