The Iranian Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) launched a new threat this Friday against U.S. forces deployed in the Middle East.

In a statement released by Iranian state media, the military body urged US troops to “immediately” leave the region and warned that, otherwise, they will be “buried under the rubble”.

The message was accompanied by the announcement of a new wave of missile attacks as part of the military operation called “Sadeq Promise 4”.

According to Tehran, the offensive is directed against Israeli targets and against US installations in the region.

New wave of Iranian ballistic missiles

The

Revolutionary Guard reported that the 44th wave of attacks included the launch of

Kheibar Shekan ballistic missiles.

These are medium-range projectiles developed by Iran that, according to the regime, have warheads of approximately one ton.

The official statement described the offensive as an “intense missile rain” directed against what it described as the objectives of the “Zionist occupier”.

According to the version released by Tehran, the attacks reached areas of:

  • Jerusalem

  • Tel Aviv

  • Eilat

The Iranian authorities linked the offensive with the approach of Al Quds Day, an annual day of support for the Palestinian cause that is commemorated every March 13

Attacks on U.S. military bases

The Iranian statement also stated that attacks were carried out against U.S. military installations in different parts of

the region.

Among the objectives mentioned by the Revolutionary Guard are:

  • the Muwafaq al-Salti Air Base airbase in Jordan, military positions in

  • Manama, the capital of Bahrain, facilities in Erbil, in the Kurdistan of

  • Iraq.

    According

to the Iranian version, these attacks were carried out using

missiles and drones.

Controversy over the alleged shooting down of a US plane

The Revolutionary Guard also claimed that air defense systems of the so-called “resistance front” shot down a US tanker during an in-flight refueling operation

.

According to that version, the incident resulted in the death of six crew members.

However, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) offered a different version.

U.S. military authorities confirmed that a KC‑135 Stratotanker tanker aircraft crashed in western Iraq while participating in operations related to the conflict

. The

US rules out that the accident was caused by an attack

.

The Central Command indicated that the incident was not caused by hostile fire or friendly fire

.

According to the statement, two aircraft participated in the event: one managed to land without problems while the other crashed.

Search and rescue operations continue as authorities investigate the causes of the accident.

The KC-135 Stratotanker is one of the U.S. Air Force's main in-flight refueling aircraft and has been a key player in Washington's military projection for decades.
