New headache for Boca: Toto Belmonte injured and loses the classic against San Lorenzo

Injuries continue to complicate Boca at the start of the 2026 season. When it seemed that the squad was starting to recover players, the club confirmed a new loss: Tomás Belmonte suffered a tear and will be off

the courts for several weeks.

Through a statement on its social networks, Xeneize reported that the midfielder has "a grade II muscle injury to the left adductor”. This type of injury usually requires at least three weeks of recovery, although the exact time frame will depend on its evolution

In this way, the 27-year-old steering wheel will not only miss the classic against San Lorenzo, but also several commitments on the calendar while undergoing rehabilitation and then set-up to recover the pace of competition.

Although “Toto” had not started in the last few games, he had added a significant number of minutes so far this year. He played six games, four of them from the start, and was one of Claudio Úbeda's main midfield alternatives. The former Lanús had recently lost his place in the team to Milton Delgado, although he was still a regular replacement part for
