The Argentine ambassador to Israel, Axel Wahnish, confirmed that tickets for the new direct route between Buenos Aires and Tel Aviv, operated by the airline El Al, are now on sale.
The flights will start on November 29 and will have two weekly frequencies: Sunday and Tuesday from Tel Aviv to Buenos Aires, and Monday and Wednesday in the opposite direction.
“After two years of intense work and bilateral coordination, we see a long-awaited project coming to fruition that brings our peoples closer than ever before,” Wahnish said in his X account, also stressing that this new connection will make it possible to advance trade, investment, tourism and academic and scientific exchange.

The announcement had been anticipated by President Javier Milei during his official visit to Jerusalem, after meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
.On that occasion, Milei stressed the strategic importance of the agreement: “Starting in November, the first direct air route in history between Buenos Aires and Tel Aviv will start operating and our nations will be closer than ever.”
