An episode of extreme violence shook the educational community after an armed attack inside a school in Mexico, which resulted in the death of two teachers. The event, which began with a minor disciplinary situation, led to a tragedy that once again puts the management of authority and prevention in school environments under the
spotlight.
As could be reconstructed, the incident originated when a student arrived late at the facility and was not allowed to enter. After being rejected, the young man returned to his home and, soon after, returned armed with an assault rifle. Without major exchanges, he entered the place and shot at two teachers, who died as a result of the attack

hours later.
Indeed, before going to the establishment, the student published a series of contents on his social networks. Among them, a video in which he was seen posing in front of a mirror with the same rifle that he would later use in the attack, as well as images and messages that evidenced
growing personal radicalization.
The publications were not limited to the exhibition of the weapon. They also included phrases that suggested a previous intention such as “Today is the day” and references to episodes of known school shootings, along with content associated with extremist online communities and messages of strong hate

In this context, the combination of failures in social containment, weaknesses in prevention mechanisms and the circulation of extremist content poses a complex challenge for the
