A high-tension episode starring Martín Demichelis and his current partner caused a stir in Punta del Este after images of an argument that took place in recent hours were leaked. The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon in the José Ignacio area, more precisely at the La Susana Beach resort, and it was recorded by witnesses who were at the scene.
According to reconstructions based on the videos and consistent accounts, the former head coach was having lunch with a group of people when, for reasons that did not come to light, a private argument with his girlfriend, Micaela, a young woman from Olivos, allegedly began. The exchange became increasingly heated and ended up causing discomfort among those who were sharing the space.
According to the testimonies, the young woman stood up from the table visibly upset and walked alone toward her vehicle. Minutes later, Demichelis went after her, initiating a confrontation that drew the attention of others present because of its intensity. The most delicate moment allegedly took place inside the car, where shouting was heard and agitated gestures were observed.
The images that later circulated show Demichelis gesturing vehemently, raising his hands while he tries to talk to his partner. In another part of the footage, he is seen trying to get closer in an apparent conciliatory gesture, while the young woman turns her face away and appears distressed. It was also mentioned that he allegedly tried to open the vehicle door insistently, which raised the level of concern at the scene.
In light of the situation, security personnel from the resort intervened as a preventive measure after receiving a report about a possible argument. The objective was to prevent the episode from escalating, and according to those close to the situation, there were no subsequent consequences or police intervention. "It was a specific moment of tension", they stated, seeking to play down what had happened.
The relationship between Demichelis and Micaela has reportedly been going on for around three months and became public after they were seen together at a social event in Mendoza. The beginning of the relationship coincided in time with the recent separation of the former footballer from Evangelina Anderson, with whom he has children.
In that context, it emerged that there were no formal introductions between the minors and the new partner, with the intention of protecting the children of the former couple from any media exposure. At the time the material was released, Anderson was in Buenos Aires for work commitments.
