After the scandal, a new chief of the Córdoba Highway Police was appointed.
Córdoba's Security Minister, Juan Pablo Quinteros, appointed Santiago Daniel Bolloli to replace Maximiliano Ochoa Roldán, who was arrested for corruption
Córdoba's Security Minister, Juan Pablo Quinteros, appointed Santiago Daniel Bolloli as the new head of the Highway Police.
The appointment comes three days after the scandal involving the arrest of the previous chief, Maximiliano Gabriel Ochoa Roldán, who is accused of leading a criminal network together with police officers, lawyers, and civilians.
The Security Ministry explained that before appointing Bolloli, “reports were requested from the Police and Penitentiary Conduct Tribunal, the General Directorate of Police Control and Investigations of Córdoba, and the Criminal Secretariat of the Superior Court of Justice regarding administrative records, disciplinary investigations for serious, very serious, or dismissible offenses, and participation in active criminal cases, none of which the appointed General Commissioner has on record in any of the aforementioned cases.”
Scandal involving Córdoba's Highway Police
This new appointment was made after the position became vacant due to a corruption scandal and various crimes.
In recent days, the aforementioned Ochoa Roldán was arrested, accused of coercion, illicit enrichment, and criminal association as a leader.

Prosecutor Guillermo González is leading an investigation targeting a criminal network within the force.
It was noteworthy that the newly arrested individual had been promoted just the previous Monday.
Until December 2024, he served as the private secretary to the current head of Córdoba's Police, Héctor Gutiérrez. His recent promotion, on the eve of the scandal, raises questions about the level of knowledge and responsibility within the police leadership.
The arrest of his brother, police officer Gastón Ochoa Roldán, was also ordered. The case includes crimes such as embezzlement and concealment by omission of reporting. The situation caused a major shake-up in the structure of provincial security.

The operation included raids in La Calera, Cosquín, and the Police Headquarters itself. Key evidence was collected there that could implicate high-ranking officials. The seriousness of the case triggered an internal crisis within the force and set off alarms in the provincial government, which quickly distanced itself from the case.
