Alejandro Sanz broke his silence after Ivet Playà's public accusation

In recent hours, Alejandro Sanz has faced major controversy after the testimony of Ivet Playà, a young woman who claimed to have had a traumatic experience with the singer, went viral. The story began as a typical fan-artist relationship but, according to her account, ended up being a personal nightmare.

The young woman shared a lengthy video on TikTok in which she described how she went from being an admirer to establishing an intimate connection with the Spanish artist, who, she stated, contacted her directly through social media.

From admiration to an intimate connection

Ivet Playà, until now unknown to the general public, recounted that everything started in 2015. She was 18 years old when the singer, who was 49 at the time, began following her, commenting on her photos, and even sharing posts about her.

Years later, at 22, she left her life in Barcelona and moved to Madrid after receiving a job offer from Sanz. According to her explanation, she was hired by him directly, but the professional relationship quickly turned into a personal one that, she claims, caused her emotional harm.

"I thought I was living a dream, but in reality, I experienced a nightmare. He crossed moral and even human boundaries," she said. Playà, who works as a digital creative director and is a gymnast, said she felt manipulated and isolated.

"I was scared. I feel like he lives in a parallel reality, as if he's above right and wrong. No one says anything to him. But I can do it. I didn't sign any non-disclosure agreement," she concluded firmly in her video.

Alejandro Sanz's response

In response to the impact of the testimony, Alejandro Sanz decided to issue a statement. The message, brief but forceful, was published on his social media:

"Ivet, I had a very beautiful memory of the two of us, two adults sharing their affection, being free. It's a shame that this feeling has now been broken. In May, you offered me to invest in some of your family businesses; after reviewing it with my advisors, I told you no. I regret that your reaction is this, but I want you to know that I've never engaged in these practices and I will continue this way all my life. I wish you soon find your path and happiness."

With these words, the performer of "Corazón partío" and "Amiga mía" tried to close the matter, emphasizing that what they experienced was a relationship between adults. He also hinted that the accusation could be linked to the rejection of a business proposal.

Sanz, focused on his career

The scandal erupted just as the singer was focused on his upcoming artistic projects.  Amid rumors about a possible separation from his partner, Candela Márquez, due to his recent collaborations with Shakira, Sanz continued preparing the release of his new EP ¿Y ahora qué?, composed of six previously unreleased songs.

He also already had an extensive tour of Mexico planned, which will begin after the summer.

Meanwhile, Playà's testimony continues to generate reactions on social media, and many users have begun to debate the limits of power in unequal relationships within the entertainment world.
