Alfredo Cornejo praised Javier Milei: 'We share the general direction of the government'

The governor of Mendoza, Alfredo Cornejo, highlighted the economic advances of Javier Milei's government and reaffirmed his commitment to work together with the Nation.

In his statements, he emphasized the importance of economic predictability and stability for the country's development.

Support for lowering inflation and fiscal balance

Cornejo appreciated Milei's first months in office and highlighted two central points: lowering inflation and fiscal balance. "The fiscal imbalances that were crudely covered up with issuance have been the great evil that has characterized populist Argentina in recent years", he stated.

According to the Mendoza leader, these initial steps are essential to organizing the economy and creating stable conditions for the country's development. "Lowering inflation and achieving fiscal balance have been very important steps to begin walking that path of order", he maintained.

Support for economic deregulation

Another point the governor highlighted was the deregulation process promoted by the national government. Cornejo asserted that these measures are key to removing obstacles that affect economic development. "We value the deregulation process that has been set in motion to dismantle that web that complicates the development of life and the economy of Argentines", he emphasized.

However, he warned that it is necessary to deepen these reforms to consolidate a predictable and serious country. "If we want to ultimately be a serious, predictable, and normal country, it is necessary to consolidate this process", he added.

The importance of solid institutions

Cornejo also stressed the need to strengthen institutions to ensure sustained growth. "Virtuous economies always rest on solid institutions that we must aim for", he indicated.
