Duki shared how he won over Emilia Mernes and she got tired of being "the girlfriend of..."

Duki spoke openly about the beginning of his relationship with Emilia Mernes and shared how his first approach to the singer was before formalizing their relationship in December 2021.

In a recent interview, the trap artist explained the lyrics of his song Buscarte Lejos, which is dedicated to Emilia, and recalled the exact moment when he tried to get closer to her.

"I went to see you at a show with the excuse that it was for a friend, but not for me, your mom greeted me with a smile, and said 'thank you very much for coming'", says a fragment of the song.

Duki recounted the anecdote behind those verses and confessed that he attended an Emilia show with the excuse of accompanying FMK, a mutual friend who was supposed to perform at the event. However, FMK never showed up and it became clear that he had gone just for Emilia.

"At that moment nothing was happening with Emilia yet, but I already liked her. Gabi, her mom, was there, and before we left she grabbed my hand and greeted me. I started to feel a pressure in my chest and I said 'nothing better happen to her because I'd die'", he recalled with a laugh.
