This weekend, Alta Gracia will host an official Rubik's Cube competition for the first time, the "Desafío Cubero Alta Gracia 2025." The tournament will take place on Saturday, June 7, and Sunday, June 8, at the Cine Teatro Monumental Sierras. Sixty competitors from various regions of the country will participate in an event endorsed by the World Cube Association (WCA).
The competition is organized by the Speedcubing Argentina Association, together with María Laura Fuentes and Matías Ponte. The event will be supervised by the official WCA delegates, Cristian Ezequiel Vega and Matías Ponte himself.
The tournament will feature 10 official categories distributed across 17 rounds. The events include formats such as 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, Pyraminx, and Megaminx, among others.

Participation and access to the event
Registration for competitors opened in May and is now closed. No further registrations will be accepted for organizational reasons, even if spots remain available or there are people on the waiting list.
