The Princess of Orange accompanied her parents to the gala dinner in honor of the Sultan of Oman
Princess Amalia once again took part in a state dinner alongside King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands. The heir to the throne participated in the official banquet held at the Royal Palace of Amsterdam during the visit of the Sultan of Oman.
Since her debut at these events during the dinner in honor of King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain, Amalia has been a constant presence at this type of official reception.
A new prominence in the royal scene
Last night's event marked the princess's third participation in a gala dinner of this level. She also attended the one held last December in honor of the President of Portugal.

This time, however, she stood out for a very special choice: she wore the Mellerio Ruby Tiara for the first time, one of the most emblematic jewels of the Dutch royal family.
Although she had been seen with this piece during her childhood, it was the first time she wore it at an official event. Amalia, passionate about royal jewelry, tried on that tiara for the first time when she was a child, while her mother was preparing for a gala.
That moment was captured in a photograph revealed when she turned 18, in her first official biography. In that book, the princess confessed her fascination with tiaras: "I love tiaras. Show me one and I'll know where it comes from. I recognize all the tiaras of Europe," she stated.

A historic jewel with royal legacy
The Mellerio Tiara was crafted around 1888 by the renowned French jeweler Mellerio for Queen Emma, King Willem-Alexander's great-great-grandmother. It is part of a larger set that includes a brooch and earrings, also worn last night by Amalia.
Máxima chose this tiara for her first official portrait as queen, reinforcing its symbolism within the royal jewelry collection. The piece has become a favorite among the queens of the Netherlands and, now, also of the young heir.
With this appearance, Amalia not only reinforced her institutional role but also began to write her own story in the tradition of the Dutch royalty.
