Angela Aguilar criticized Shakira, and Cazzu's followers tore her apart.
The Mexican singer spoke in a recent interview about the Colombian star and sparked a wave of negativity
Ángela Aguilar was in the news again, but this time not for her artistic career but for her statements about Shakira. In a recent interview that surfaced on social media, the performer of “Abrázame” dared to share her opinion on how the famous Colombian singer handled her breakup with Gerard Piqué, which sparked a slew of negative reactions on digital platforms.
On the show En Casa con Telemundo, Ángela commented: “Like Shakira, how I admire her. It's the funniest thing, you can break up with someone and not make any money. But she released a song and is cashing in on her misfortunes”, referring to the success the Colombian had with songs like “Te Felicito” and “Monotonía”, which were born out of her breakup with the former FC Barcelona footballer.

Her words, although they praised "La loba" in certain aspects, were also interpreted by many as a critique of the way the Colombian star capitalized on her personal experiences. This comment, far from going unnoticed, went viral quickly, generating a wave of reactions on social media.
The critics of the Mexican singer were quick to express their annoyance, questioning the fact that she admires Shakira but at the same time criticizes artists like Cazzu, who also reflected her love experiences in her music, as in the song “Con otra”.
It is worth remembering that Julieta Emilia Cazzuchelli, better known as "Cazzu," is the ex-wife of Christian Nodal, Aguilar's current partner, whom she met while still married to the Argentine. Many users then consider the Mexican's opinions inconsistent and claim that she has no right to judge how other artists express and manage their private lives.

However, not everything was negative for the young Mexican singer. There were those who defended her right to express her opinion, arguing that, like anyone, she has the freedom to express her thoughts without fear of being attacked on social media. These followers considered that the constant attacks on the vocalist are excessive, and that her stance is valid, even if not everyone agrees with her.
