For an entire generation, Mia Talerico remains the little Charlie Duncan from Good Luck Charlie!, one of the most remembered family series on Disney Channel. However, time has passed and that baby who grew up in front of the cameras has just turned 18 years old.
The show premiered in 2010 and depicted the life of the Duncan family after Charlie's arrival. Her sister Teddy, played by Bridgit Mendler, recorded videos with advice for her to watch when she was older. Each episode ended with the phrase that named the show: “Good luck, Charlie!”
Talerico was only nine months old when she began portraying the character and remained in the show until its end in 2014. In fact, one of her expressions later became a popular meme that still circulates on social media.

On September 17, the actress reached adulthood and decided to share the preparations for her celebration through Instagram.
“Today is my birthday and I am turning 18. I am 18; it sounds amazing to say it,” she expressed in a video where she showed how she did her makeup and chose her look for the occasion.
The date also stirred some nostalgia. “I feel a bit scared and, deep down, some sadness about no longer being a child. It's a lot to process,” she acknowledged.
Despite it being her birthday, the young woman mentioned that she had to stick to her usual routine, which included classes, training, and even a Math exam. Later, she planned to have lunch with her friends and end the day with a family dinner.
Talerico also reflected on the new possibilities that arise upon turning 18. Among them, she mentioned that she can now vote and access the money in her Coogan account, which is meant to protect part of the earnings obtained by underage actors.
“Now many more opportunities are opening up for me in the world,” she stated. Finally, she revealed her chosen outfit: white pants and a pastel pink top with ruffles. “This is the final look. Happy birthday to me!,” she concluded.
