Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced has become one of the biggest recent commercial successes for Ubisoft. The remake of the classic originally released over a decade ago sold 3.5 million copies in just 14 days, a figure that far exceeded the company's annual forecasts and confirmed the immense appeal the franchise still holds among players.
The results were presented in the financial report for the first quarter, where Ubisoft's CEO, Yves Guillemot, highlighted the launch as a demonstration of the vigor of the Assassin's Creed saga, even amid a complex internal restructuring process.
Black Flag Resynced reached record figures in just two weeks
The public's response was immediate. During the first days after its launch, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced surpassed 2 million units sold, reached 3 million in its first week, and hit 3.5 million copies before completing fifteen days.
According to Guillemot, in addition to the commercial performance, the game received the best reception from players and critics since the premiere of the original Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.
The remake managed to attract both long-time fans of the franchise and new players, thanks to a modernized version of one of the most beloved titles in the saga.
A lower price boosted sales

One of the factors that contributed to the success was its commercial strategy.
Ubisoft launched Black Flag Resynced at US$ 59.99, a price lower than the usual for major AAA releases, which currently hover around US$ 69.99.
Despite being sold at a lower price, the enormous volume of units sold allowed the project to quickly become a highly profitable business.
The commercial success contrasts with Ubisoft's internal situation
Despite the performance of Black Flag Resynced, Ubisoft continues to undergo a reorganization process.
