While Emiliano "Dibu" Martínez keeps his focus on the 2026 World Cup and the semifinal that the Argentine National Team will play against England, uncertainty about his future at Aston Villa continues in Europe.
Currently, there are several clubs interested in acquiring the services of the Mar del Plata native once the World Cup is over. One of the most talked-about recently is the case of Juventus, a team that, according to information released by Italian media, already has a preliminary agreement with the world champion to sign a contract for three seasons.
However, any rumors indicating a possible departure of the Argentine goalkeeper have been almost dismissed by the English club. "Martínez will stay with us. We have no intention of letting him go this summer. The team needs his dedication and vast experience, and he is a very important element in our project for the next season", stated Damian Vidagany, director of football operations for the English team.

"All media reports about his possible transfer to Juventus do not reflect the true position of the club. Martínez is a very important player for us and we expect him to continue delivering exceptional performances alongside his teammates", he added.
