The Cobra responded to those who question the refereeing decisions in favor of Argentina and stated that there is a biased view of World Cup history. He claimed that the Argentine team has also been harmed in various finals.
One of the first arguments was the history of penalties awarded in decisive matches. "Argentina is the team that has received the most penalties against in World Cup finals," he stated.
Recalling the final of the 1930 World Cup, he said: "Argentina lost three finals in the world and the three finals they lost are controversial." He then added: "In 1930, Argentina had the ball changed and supposedly there was, and I say supposedly because you also say supposedly, that Argentina was pressured in the locker room to say that if they didn't lose the final against Uruguay, they would literally get beaten up, yes, yes, they would get beaten up, they would get beaten up badly."
The Cobra also questioned the refereeing of the final in Italy 1990 against Germany: "Then in '90 they called a non-existent penalty against Germany, non-existent, the player didn't touch him, my friend, and they called a penalty."
