Belgian GP: Piastri prevailed over Norris, and Colapinto finished second to last
The Australian won the Spa-Francorchamps race, which started almost an hour and a half late due to the rain
The Belgian Grand Prix was a true challenge for drivers and teams from the early hours of Sunday. The heavy rains that hit Spa-Francorchamps forced the suspension of the Formula 3 race and delayed the start of Formula 1 by one hour and twenty minutes. The competition began with all the single-seaters running four laps behind the safety car before the rolling start was given.
In that first phase, Lando Norris managed to hold the lead for a few meters, but was quickly overtaken by his McLaren teammate, Oscar Piastri, who took advantage of his good visibility to take the lead and start making a difference from the beginning. Behind them, Max Verstappen was closing in on Charles Leclerc, while George Russell was consolidating fifth place.

Meanwhile, Franco Colapinto, who had started in the middle of the pack, was running 15th in the opening laps, but then dropped to 19th after a second pit stop and with an Alpine that did not allow him to fight, being overtaken by Antonelli and Stroll. The Argentine driver was unable to recover his position and finished next to last, beating only Isack Hadjar.
Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton staged a great comeback. He started from the pit lane after a power unit change and was the first to opt for dry-weather tires on lap 12, which allowed him to climb to seventh place after several overtakes. His decision anticipated the massive entry of drivers into the pits.

McLaren's strategy created a tense moment. Piastri came in first and fitted medium tires, while Norris was given hard tires on the following lap. The Australian questioned this decision, pointing out that the British driver could have an advantage at the end. However, Norris made two key mistakes: running wide and locking up his tires, which prevented him from completing his comeback attempt.
Although in the final laps he managed to close the gap to 3.4 seconds, Piastri maintained the lead and took the victory, extending his great run this season. Norris had to settle for second place, while Leclerc secured the last step of the podium, ahead of Verstappen's Red Bull.
The top 10 was completed by Russell, Albon, Hamilton, Lawson, Bortoleto, and Gasly, who scored again for Alpine after his strong performance at Silverstone, where he finished 6th. A race marked by strategy, mistakes, and a treacherous track that left the crowd with another unforgettable show at Spa.
