Capcom revealed Leon's gameplay at an official event
During a new showcase focused on the franchise, Capcom exhibited the first official gameplay of Leon in Resident Evil Requiem.
The title will be released on February 27 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2, and it is conceived as a synthesis of the saga's entire story. The developer confirmed that this installment will function almost as a conceptual closure of the Resident Evil universe.
Leon returns with a more physical and action-packed approach
Capcom confirmed that Leon S. Kennedy will be one of the playable protagonists, something that had already been hinted at in previous rumors. According to the developers, his gameplay will be oriented toward visceral action, with a style that takes Resident Evil 4 as a direct reference.
Leon will have new mechanics, including the use of an axe that will allow players to perform parries and close-quarters counterattacks.
