On a day that reaffirms the course of prosperity, the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA) once again provided a lesson in monetary solidity by acquiring USD 25 million through its intervention in the foreign exchange market. This figure represented 6.4% of the total offer in the spot segment, allowing the international gross reserves of the entity to climb to USD 49.036 million.

This growth was also supported by a strategic increase of 1.8% in the gold position, which reached USD 4,151.20 per ounce, thus shielding the wealth of all Argentines against external fluctuations.

The international context has ultimately validated the plan of Javier Milei, after the prestigious agency Moody’s raised Argentina's sovreign credit rating from Caa1 to B3 with a positive outlook.

This improvement adds to the endorsements already given by Standard & Poor's and Fitch Ratings, confirming that the world sees in this government a guarantee of compliance and seriousness.

In this regard, expert Damián Vlassich from IOL highlighted: “The Argentine financial market validated a bullish momentum thanks to the international support provided by the credit rating agency and celebrated a great institutional news”.

This climate of investor optimism triggered an explosion of euphoria on the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange, where the S&P Merval index rose 3%, reaching 3,379,772 points, a historic nominal record in pesos. Measured in “dollar counted with liquidation”, the leading panel touched 2,159 points, its highest level since June.

The shares of the companies driving the country were the big stars: Adecoagro rose 5.4%, closely followed by the banking sector with Banco Macro and Banco Supervielle, both with increases of 5.2%.

Additionally, the state oil company YPF gained 2.5%, trading its ADR at USD 52.63, in a global crude market where Brent rose to USD 93.60.

The fiscal discipline of the current government also allowed the country risk to compress by eight units, standing at 410 basis points, nearing the lows not seen since 2018. Meanwhile, the sovereign bonds Bonares and Globales averaged an increase of 0.2%, demonstrating that the market bets on Argentine solvency.

In the foreign exchange arena, although the wholesale dollar advanced 0.4% to close at 1,483 pesos, the gap remains under control within the floating bands established by the BCRA, whose ceiling was set at $1,833.77.

The blue dollar, for its part, reached a nominal record of $1,555, but it is worth noting that so far in 2026 it has only risen 1.6%, a figure that seems ridiculously small compared to an accumulated inflation of 18%, demonstrating a real stabilization of purchasing power under the new model.

Finally, the indicators of the real economy are beginning to show green shoots of positive heterogeneity: while sectors such as agriculture and livestock grew 4.6% annually, mining exploded with an impressive 15.7% year-on-year improvement in May, according to data from EMAE. With international support, the accumulation of reserves, and a capital market at record levels, Javier Milei's Argentina consolidates as the new beacon of freedom and growth in the region.
