Construction activity in the province of Córdoba closed the 2025 period with extremely encouraging indicators for the entire local real estate sector. According to data from the Statistics Directorate, construction costs rose by 22.7% year-on-year, remaining notably below overall inflation. This positive gap is a direct result of macroeconomic stability that allows greater predictability in the prices of basic inputs.
The value per square meter in the provincial capital reached $823,605.9 at the end of December, according to the survey by local technical agencies. This calculation is based on a housing unit of 50.25 m² (541.1 ft²) that includes the essential rooms for a comfortable and very dignified family life. The final price includes the use of traditional materials such as ceramic blocks, slab roofs, and floor finishes with quality ceramics.
It is important to emphasize that the monthly adjustment for December was just 2%, below monthly inflation, consolidating a deceleration trend in local construction expenses. The index analyzed is made up of 123 material inputs, in addition to labor costs and various related administrative expenses. The fact that construction is cheaper in real terms encourages private investment and the creation of new productive jobs.
El ajuste mensual de diciembre fue de apenas el 2%, por debajo de la inflación mensual
Benefits of stability for investors
When the 22.7% increase is compared with the 31.5% overall inflation, a real reduction in costs can be observed that directly benefits all families. This situation creates a unique window of opportunity for those who have savings and seek to build wealth through bricks in a fairly short time. Fiscal discipline and the reduction of monetary volatility are the pillars that support this scenario of sustainable growth for the region.
Official measurements include professional fees and basic service connections, guaranteeing a transparent figure for citizens. However, the price of the land and external urban infrastructure works is excluded in order to focus only on the construction process itself. Thanks to this statistical transparency, residents of Córdoba can plan their housing projects with a certainty that did not exist in the years of Kirchnerism.
Access to homeownership becomes more feasible when the costs of materials and labor stop rising uncontrollably month after month. This economic achievement reinforces confidence in the free market system, where competition helps regulate prices in an efficient and real way.Córdoba is thus positioned as a center of dynamic urban development, driven by national policies that prioritize balance and net savings.
