A police intervention carried out in the Jardín Espinosa neighborhood, in the city of Córdoba, resulted in the seizure of 1,500 tires of suspicious origin. The operation took place in the early hours of Friday and was executed by officers from the Cordobeses en Alerta program, in collaboration with local residents.
The incident occurred on Los Hornillos Street, where the officers were patrolling as part of the prevention program implemented since May 12. During the patrol, the officers detected an open wooden overhead door belonging to a kindergarten. Nearby, they also observed access to an underground garage that was not closed and had the padlock on the ground.
Discovery of tires and six men involved
Inside the garage was a Mercedes Benz Sprinter, license plate AF 217 RD, loaded with tires and accompanied by six male individuals, whose identities have not yet been disclosed by the Police. Given the suspicious situation, the officers proceeded to enter the building's basement, where they found 1,500 unused and unmarked tires, arranged in an organized manner, suggesting irregular storage or commercialization activity.
