Córdoba Provincial Police carried out an operation at a rural establishment located in the Chaján area, in the jurisdiction of Sampacho (Río Cuarto Department), where 1,060 crossbred Aberdeen Angus cattle were seized, linked to an investigation into alleged fraud in livestock marketing.
The judicial measure included the deployment of personnel from the Río Cuarto Department, the General Directorate of Criminal Investigations and the Rural Patrol, who proceeded with the identification, safeguarding, and subsequent transfer of the livestock.
The animals were loaded onto seven conditioned trucks and transported to their place of origin in the province of San Luis, remaining at the disposal of the Justice system.
The estimated value of the heads of cattle exceeds $2,000,000,000.
Fraudulent maneuvers with livestock
The operation was carried out on the basis of a request from the provincial Justice system of La Pampa, within the framework of a case that is investigating fraudulent maneuvers that allegedly began in the province of San Luis.

The Security Minister, Juan Pablo Quinteros, highlighted the role of the provincial force in terms of prevention and response to crimes that affect the productive sector:
"Our Córdoba Police has a special division, the Rural Patrol, which has a strong presence throughout the provincial interior and whose mission is to deploy a preventive and crime-fighting strategy that logically has its own specificity. Córdoba is made up of 427 cities and towns, many in rural areas, and that entails the non-delegable responsibility of the Provincial Government and our police to protect every neighbor, every rural producer, and also their assets and properties," he stated.
Furthermore, the minister detailed how the action began: "This operation was ordered on the basis of a request from the provincial Justice system of La Pampa, within the framework of an investigation into alleged fraud that allegedly originated in the province of San Luis. As soon as we were notified, I asked the Chief of Police to instruct the General Directorate of Criminal Investigations so that, together with personnel from the Río Cuarto Department and the Rural Patrol, they could rapidly deploy the personnel and means necessary to carry out these raids."
Quinteros also emphasized the efficiency of the operation.
"Having the necessary resources, the territorial deployment, but above all the qualified personnel, made it possible for our Córdoba Police to find and contain these 1,060 heads of cattle within a matter of hours, which, with a valuation of more than two billion pesos, are already at the disposal of the Justice system," he said
The case remains in process under judicial direction, with the objective of determining criminal responsibilities, reconstructing the marketing circuit that was used, and establishing the origin and final destination of the maneuvers under investigation. New measures within the framework of the process are not ruled out.
