According to the Grain Exchange of Córdoba, during the first week of December, the planting of the main summer crops showed significant progress in the province, with a normalization of fieldwork after the water and temperature limitations of November.
The general condition of corn, soybeans, sunflower, peanuts, and sorghum was mostly very good to excellent, while laboratory analyses showed a high quality of soybean seed, with more than 90% of the samples within acceptable standards.
Soybean planting in Córdoba
The planting of soybeans and sorghum, which during November was delayed by the lack of moisture, and, in the case of sorghum, also by low soil temperature, normalized in recent weeks, reaching levels consistent with the time of year.

Corn showed heterogeneous planting progress among the departments of the province, with greater progress in the south due to the higher proportion of early-planted area compared to the north.
Regarding peanuts and sunflower, planting had already finished and the crops were developing normally.
In peanuts, there were reports of fields with establishment problems due to low temperatures in the departments of Tercero Arriba and Río Cuarto.
Planting dates of Córdoba's summer crops
Regarding the proportion of planting dates, corn showed a marked variation compared to the previous season, with an 8-percentage-point increase in early corn.

Likewise, second-crop corn would increase its area, since the lack of moisture prevented progress in soybean planting in fields coming out of wheat and, given the shift of the optimal window, producers chose to wait for rainfall to plant corn, whose planting window is wider.
In soybeans, meanwhile, there was a slight change compared to the previous season in the proportion of planting dates, with a 2-percentage-point increase in the early-planted area.
