The province of Córdoba implemented a series of significant reforms in Traffic Law number 8560 at the beginning of this year. With these regulations coming into force, drivers will have to pay special attention to the new provisions on visibility and control.
One of the most relevant new measures is the validation of automatic daytime running lights as a legal alternative to the use of low beams on the routes of Córdoba. However, motorcycles retain the obligation to circulate with their lights on permanently on any type of roadway. In conditions of reduced visibility due to fog or heavy rain, the use of low beams and fog lights remains strictly mandatory.
Enforcement incorporates electronic devices to record violations through film and photographic evidence at toll booths and on provincial roads. Notifications of the tickets will be made through the holder's electronic administrative address, eliminating reliance on postal mail. This digitization of processes seeks to streamline administrative times and provide greater legal certainty regarding official communications.

The regulations make defense mechanisms more flexible by allowing drivers to submit statements in local courts if the fine occurred more than 60 kilometers (37.28 miles) away. Drivers residing in other jurisdictions will be able to manage their procedures remotely by using the Ciudadano Digital digital identity platform. These measures facilitate compliance with obligations without the need for costly travel, while respecting the timelines of each affected citizen.
The penalty system now includes measures that go beyond the traditional financial fine, including safety courses and community service. Judges have the authority to issue preventive warnings that will be recorded in the offender's history as a formal prior warning. The concept of recurrence is also introduced, allowing the application of precautionary measures in the event of the accumulation of violations that are not yet final.
