The project seeks to reform the Coexistence Code to impose fines or arrests on those who do not vaccinate minors
The Córdoba government is promoting a regulatory amendment to ensure that all minors receive the mandatory health doses currently in force. This initiative proposes a reform of the Citizen Coexistence Code in order to sanction those who do not comply with the immunization schedule. The central objective of this project is to safeguard health by reinforcing the legal responsibility of adults for minors.
The incorporation of Article 75 bis establishes direct legal consequences for guardians who neglect the health protection of the young people in their care. The sanctions provided for include considerable financial fines, up to 5 days of arrest, or the performance of local community service tasks. This measure doesn't pursue ideological options but rather the strict fulfillment of national legal duties.
In this regard, the Health Minister of Córdoba stated that the financial penalty for those who fail to comply with the regulation will be 50 Fixed Units (UF). Currently, each UF is equivalent to $1,696, which means the financial fine will amount to $84,800. The official position seeks to guarantee immunization against various diseases that have already been eradicated or that still circulate actively.

Prevention against various diseases
National legislation establishes that every person residing in the country has the obligation to complete the recommended schedule to prevent very serious outbreaks. Legal guardians must ensure that children and adolescents receive their respective doses in a timely manner and in accordance with current regulations. The new regulatory framework reinforces the diligent actions of health teams and the commitment to the general well-being of the community.
To facilitate access to this right, Córdoba has more than 800 vaccination centers where the service is free of charge and permanent for the population. These operational centers include public hospitals and local clinics strategically distributed throughout the territory of the central area of the country. The official schedule includes specific protections for all stages of human life, including risk groups or special situations.
Health authorities emphasize the need to complete the recommended schedules to prevent the return of dangerous diseases. It is each citizen's responsibility to receive the doses corresponding to their age in order to form an effective barrier against the spread of any disease. Following these medical guidelines could also help prevent the saturation of the current medical care systems in the province.
