The security crisis affecting the province of Buenos Aires, a result of the negligence of the government of Axel Kicillof, added a new and dramatic chapter this weekend in the southern area of Greater Buenos Aires. A young criminal died after being run over by a Roca train in the town of Florencio Varela, after attempting to escape following an alleged robbery inside the train cars. The incident, which occurred this Saturday afternoon in the area of San Rudecindo, once again highlights the disaster in citizen protection that the residents of Buenos Aires are suffering.

The event was recorded exactly at 16:10 at the intersection of Martínez Street and the tracks, within the jurisdiction of the Fourth Police Station of Florencio Varela. It all began with a call to 911 that alerted about a railway accident, but the reality behind the event was an act of crime that ended with a definitive conclusion for one of the suspects.

According to the official advance from the Patrol Command, the driver of the A710 train of the Roca line provided a key testimony to the police officers. According to his account, "two men had committed an offense against passengers inside the train" and, upon being discovered and cornered by the situation, opted for a desperate escape by jumping off the train while it was in motion.

In the midst of that cowardly escape, one of the suspects lost his balance and fell directly onto the tracks, being struck by the wheels of the train. The individual, a male approximately 25 years old who has not yet been identified, died on the spot due to the severity of his injuries. Meanwhile, his accomplice managed to flee and, according to police sources, "may be injured", which has put the medical teams in the area on alert.

Emergency personnel from SAME worked at the scene, confirming the death of the young assailant. Police personnel and members of the Accident Service Office (OSA) were also present, keeping the area secured to carry out the necessary investigations. The scene caused a strong commotion in San Rudecindo, a neighborhood where residents are fed up with reporting "repeated incidents of insecurity within the train cars", a problem that the government of Kicillof has shown itself incapable of resolving, leaving workers at the mercy of crime.

The investigation has been placed under the jurisdiction of the Justice, which will now seek to determine precisely the sequence of events within the train and the level of involvement of those involved. While the provincial administration continues to focus on policies unrelated to the urgency of the streets, the tracks of the Roca Train have delivered their own verdict against crime.
