David Beckham, on the eve of his 50th birthday, shared in an interview with Men's Health how difficult the independence of his older children has been for him. Alongside his wife, Victoria, he went from living in a bustling home with four children to living only with his youngest daughter, Harper, who is 13 years old. Although he knew this change was inevitable, he described it as a "painful" stage in his life.
The former footballer explained that the transition was a challenge, as the absence of his children changed the family dynamic. "We went from having four other people in the house to just one," he confessed. He always considered himself a neat freak and organized, but with his children, the mess was part of the daily routine. Now he missed details like finding wet towels on the floor of their rooms. "I miss it. What I would give to have that back and not come in complaining about it," he added.

Despite everything, Beckham maintained a close relationship with his children and tried to spend time with them. "My kids are pretty good. They always invite me to the pub when they go with their friends. Lately, they go more often than I do, but they always include me," he commented with humor.
