On the Day of the Ribbon, the socialist Esteban Paulón vandalized it with the LGBT flag.

The socialist deputy and LGBT activist Esteban Paulón has once again found himself embroiled in a strong controversy after posting on social media an image of a rosette altered with the LGBT flag on the Day of the Rosette, one of the most symbolic national dates in the Argentine calendar.

“On the day of the rosette, I share with great pride mine, which combines the flag of my beloved homeland and that of the community of which I am a part and to which I owe part of my personal and political identity,” the legislator wrote on his X account alongside the photograph of the emblem.

The post sparked an immediate wave of criticism from users who questioned the use of a national symbol to promote an ideological agenda. The rosette represents national unity; placing another flag above or at the same level as it represents a great disrespect to one of Argentina's historical emblems.

The design shared by Paulón shows the classic light blue and white ribbon accompanied by a pin with the colors of the LGBT movement, also including the trans flag and other symbols linked to the degenerate gender ideology. The post was interpreted as a deliberate provocation on a date dedicated exclusively to national symbols.

This is not the first time Paulón has been at the center of controversies. The Santa Fe deputy has become one of the main faces of the LGBT lobby within Congress and has promoted policies related to the so-called “trans childhoods,” including the defense of genital mutilation in children and registration changes for minors, initiatives that generate strong rejection in broad sectors of society.

In recent months, he has also been involved in various confrontations with libertarian leaders and with President Javier Milei himself. He even publicly insulted the president, calling him “homophobic and cowardly,” while denouncing supposed attacks against him from influencers and media aligned with the government.

In addition to these controversies, there are questions regarding his asset declaration where he listed properties with valuations much lower than those of the real estate market, which raised suspicions about possible underreporting of assets and strong criticism for the lack of transparency of a leader who actively promotes international agendas while vandalizing national symbols.
