In a new attempt to destabilize the Government of Javier Milei, the political caste in the Chamber of Deputies approved on April 8, 2025, the creation of a investigative commission and the interpellation of key Executive officials.

With 128 votes in favor, 93 against, and 7 abstentions, the commission that will investigate the case of the cryptocurrency $LIBRA, promoted by Milei on social media, was given the green light.

Furthermore, with 131 votes in favor and 96 against, it was decided to interpellate the Chief of Cabinet, Guillermo Francos; the Minister of Economy, Luis "Toto" Caputo; the Minister of Justice, Mariano Cúneo Libarona; and the head of the National Securities Commission, Roberto Silva.

This move represents a desperate maneuver by political sectors to try to attack Milei's Government, in an election year where a huge victory for the ruling party is projected.

The investigative commission will begin to meet on April 23, while the interpellations are scheduled for April 22 at 2:00 PM. Far from being a legitimate process, it represents a media circus orchestrated by those who, for decades, have been responsible for destroying the country with high inflation and poverty, truly defrauding millions of Argentines.

Several months ago, in an unprecedented gesture of transparency, President Javier Milei had already ordered an investigation into his connection with $LIBRA long before Congress acted, showing his commitment to clarity and accountability to the Argentine people, something that contrasts with the dark practices of old politics.

As if that weren't enough, in the same session, the deputies rejected forming a commission to investigate the handling of the quarantine by the Kirchnerism during the pandemic in 2020, a period marked by arbitrary decisions, prolonged lockdowns, and irregularities in the purchase of supplies that cost lives and plunged the country into an even deeper economic crisis, highlighting the hypocrisy of an opposition that only acts when its interests are at stake.

Thus, Javier Milei's Government reaffirms its commitment to advancing its agenda, facing a clear attempt of a soft coup against the popular will expressed at the polls.
