The domestic workers received a salary adjustment of 1.2% in March 2025. The update was made official in Resolution 1/2025 of the Commission for Work in Private Homes.
This increase adds to the scheme that included a 1.3% retroactive to December and a 1.2% in January, cumulative with the December 2024 scale. The amounts vary according to the job category.

How much does a private household worker earn in March 2025?
The salary of domestic workers is divided into five categories, according to tasks and responsibilities. Below are the current amounts:
First category: supervisor
- With retirement: $3,454 per hour | $430,878 monthly
- Without retirement: $3,783 per hour | $479,950 monthly
Second category: personnel for specific tasks
Includes cooks hired exclusively and workers specialized in other areas of the home.
- With retirement: $3,270 per hour | $400,310 monthly
- Without retirement: $3,585 per hour | $445,613 monthly

Third category: caretakers
- Hourly: $3,089
- Monthly: $390,567
Fourth category: assistance and care of people
Includes non-therapeutic care of the sick, people with disabilities, children, adolescents, and the elderly.
- With retirement: $3,089 per hour | $390,567 monthly
- Without retirement: $3,454 per hour | $435,246 monthly

Fifth category: personnel for general tasks
- With retirement: $2,863 per hour | $351,233 monthly
- Without retirement: $3,089 per hour | $390,567 monthly
Will there be new increases for domestic workers in 2025?
