Elon Musk received 96% negative media coverage in the US, much worse than Trump.
This highlights the remarkable leftist bias of major American media outlets
A report from the Media Research Center (MRC) in the United States revealed that, although the President of the United States, Donald Trump, was the subject of widely negative media coverage during the first 100 days of his administration, the media treatment received by Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, was even more unfavorable.
The study was recently released by FOX News, which highlighted the results of the analysis conducted by the MRC. According to the report, the evening newscasts of the main American networks—ABC, NBC, and CBS—offered 92% negative coverage of Trump in the period between January 20 and April 9, 2025.
The MRC specifically examined the programs "World News Tonight," "NBC Nightly News," and "CBS Evening News," finding a total of 899 reports referring to the president, of which only 7.8% presented a positive focus.

Researcher Rich Noyes explained to FOX that the negativity in Trump's coverage increased compared to his first term. At that time, using the same methodology, the MRC had recorded 89% negative content in reports about the former president.
In contrast, the former Democratic president Joe Biden received a much more favorable treatment: during his first 100 days, 59% of the news broadcast by those networks was positive, according to the MRC. This highlights the deep leftist bias of the major American media outlets.
Coverage of Elon Musk
Although the media coverage of Donald Trump was predominantly negative, it was less unfavorable than that directed at Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, and a Republican government official.

According to the analysis by the Media Research Center (MRC), Musk was the subject of 96% negative coverage in the evening newscasts, a significant figure considering that his relationship with the Trump administration is largely limited to his participation in the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
So far, the only collaborator of the president who received even more critical coverage was the Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, who accumulated 100% negative reports in the main evening newscasts of ABC, NBC, and CBS. Meanwhile, the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS), Robert F. Kennedy Jr., recorded 89% unfavorable media coverage in the same period.
