
Emmy 2025: the nominees for the U.S. television awards have been announced
'Severance' led with 27 nominations and 'The Penguin' follows with 24. See the full list
The 2025 Emmy Awards already have their nominees. The United States Television Academy released the full list on July 15, in an edition marked by anticipated returns, the dominance of Apple TV+ and HBO, and the consolidation of new series.
The 77th ceremony will be held on September 14, with a live broadcast and hosted by comedian Nate Bargatze. From now on, the more than 24,000 jury voters will select the winners, who will be revealed at the gala that will kick off the awards season in Hollywood.
Dominance of "Severance" and the presence of established figures
The production "Severance," from Apple TV+, swept with 27 nominations, while "The Penguin," from HBO, received 24. There was also a strong presence of titles such as "The Bear," "Adolescence," "The White Lotus," and "The Pitt."

Among the most prominent names are Cate Blanchett, Pedro Pascal, Colin Farrell, Jean Smart, Adam Scott, Michelle Williams, Harrison Ford, and Olivia Colman, among others.
