Argentina will be part of the Esports Nations Cup 2026, an international tournament that will mark a turning point in the world of competitive gaming by incorporating, for the first time on a large scale, the format of national teams. The Argentine Chamber of Electronic Sports (CADE) has been designated as National Team Partner & Manager and will be in charge of organizing the country's representation
.The competition, promoted by the Esports Foundation, will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, between November 2 and 29 and will bring together more than 100 nations. The project emerged after a global process with more than 600 applications from 150 countries, reflecting the growing interest in structuring eSports under a logic similar to that of traditional sports
.
In this new scenario, CADE will be responsible for coordinating national teams in different disciplines, developing recruitment processes and working together with players, coaches, clubs and publishers to build a professional structure. The objective will be to consolidate a competitive identity that represents the level of the Argentine ecosystem
.“Being chosen as National Team Partner of Argentina for ENC 2026 is a very important recognition of the work that CADE has been doing and, at the same time, an enormous responsibility,” said Gonzalo García, president of the entity. “This challenge presents us with the opportunity to work for an Argentine representation that matches the talent, competitiveness and potential of our eSports ecosystem,” he added.
The event will be held every two years and will have a total investment of 45 million dollars for prizes, development and incentives for teams. Unlike other competencies dominated by private organizations, the ENC will focus on representation by country, seeking to strengthen the link with the audience through a sense of belonging
. Thelocal organization has started working to set up the campuses. “We are already working to ensure that the best Argentine talent in electronic sports can best represent the country in the ENC 2026,” said Ezequiel Blasco, sports manager
at CADE.“Our goal is to build a serious, competitive and professional preparation that allows us to be present and seek classification in all possible disciplines, with the conviction that Argentina has players and teams to compete at the highest level,” he said.
Along the same lines, Mariel Lluch, appointed as manager of the selection, highlighted the importance of the challenge: “It will be very valuable to be able to work side by side with all the actors in the ecosystem, joining forces to represent the country and bring the dimension of the ENC closer to the community.”
Participation in this tournament opens up a key opportunity for Argentina, which will seek to consolidate its growth in electronic sports and project itself in one of the most ambitious scenarios on the international calendar.
