The FBI confirmed the arrest of the alleged killer of Charlie Kirk.

The director of the FBI during Donald Trump's administration, Kash Patel, confirmed in an official statement that the alleged perpetrator of the shooting that cost Charlie Kirk his life has been detained.

“The subject of today's terrible shooting that claimed Charlie Kirk's life is in custody. We thank local and state authorities in Utah for their collaboration with the FBI. We will provide updates when possible”, Patel stated through the official account @FBIDirectorKash.

A premeditated attack

The case caused shock because one of the suspects in the murder had publicly expressed intentions hours before the attack. On the X account (formerly Twitter), the user identified as a transvestite named Omar (@NajraGalvz) wrote alarming messages about Kirk's visit to his university:

• “Charlie Kirk is coming to my college tomorrow. I really hope someone evaporates him, literally.”
• “Let's just say something big will happen tomorrow.”

These posts, accompanied by images, reflected a level of planning and explicit threat that are now part of the federal investigation, although it can't be confirmed that this person was the actual perpetrator of the crime.

Initially, authorities detained an older white man, but later ruled out his involvement in the incident and released him.

The death of Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA and a leading figure in American conservatism, triggered a wave of reactions in the political and media spheres. Republican leaders demanded greater security measures for public figures.
