Fentanyl: ANMAT denies Clarín regarding information about a laboratory
Through a statement, the National Administration of Drugs, Food and Medical Technology categorically denied the national media outlet
The National Administration of Drugs, Food and Medical Technology (ANMAT) categorically denied Clarín newspaper, which had disseminated false information through an article titled "They authorize the laboratory of contaminated fentanyl to buy certificates to manufacture medicines".
HLB Pharma is not authorized to produce or market medicines, officials from the National Government stated. The company in question is formally prohibited by this Administration, which means it can't carry out any activity related to the manufacturing, fractioning, import, export, distribution, or commercialization of medical or pharmaceutical products.

The prohibition has the same effects as a closure. Although the legal figure is different, in operational and regulatory terms, the prohibition imposed by ANMAT prevents any activity authorized by this health authority.
HLB Pharma lacks a technical manager registered with ANMAT
"It doesn't have a designated Technical Director. The company lacks a technical manager registered with ANMAT, a mandatory requirement for any authorized operation," they stated.

"ANMAT has not authorized HLB to purchase certificates. The interpretation of the journalistic article is incorrect," it added.
It explained: "The judicial document referred to in the article reports the company's historical authorization number (which remains for administrative reasons), but expressly states that the company is prohibited and not authorized to operate."
"ANMAT reiterates its commitment to health safety, transparency, and strict compliance with current regulations to protect the population's health. This Administration calls on the media to report news responsibly, taking into account the sensitivity of these matters for the population," it warned.
