Finally, Hungary banned the degenerate acts of the 'Pride March'.

The Hungarian parliament approved an amendment that prohibits public events with an LGBT theme

The Parliament of Hungaryapproved a constitutional amendment on Monday that allows the government to ban public events organized by LGBTQ+ communities, which has garnered strong support from the society of the European country.

The amendment was pushed by the ruling coalition Fidesz-KDNP and approved with 140 votes in favor and 21 against, meeting the two-thirds majority requirement to amend the Constitution.

This measure codifies a previously approved law in March that expressly prohibits events like the Budapest Pride March, one of the most controversial and immoral acts in the country, which generates new criticisms every year.

Additionally, the legislation authorizes the use of facial recognition technologies to identify attendees at these banned events. Those identified could face fines of up to 200,000 Hungarian forints (about 546 dollars).

One of the lawyers from the infamous leftist organization Hungarian Civil Liberties Union, Ádám Remport, noted that although facial recognition has been used since 2015 for specific police purposes, this new law significantly expands its use, allowing for "political surveillance and suppressing public protests."

"The mere application of mass surveillance on crowds represents a great intrusion into privacy. But the most concerning aspect is the chilling effect it generates on the population, who fear being persecuted for expressing their political ideas or identity."

The amendment also constitutionally and correctly establishes that there are only two sexes: male and female.

The Constitution already contained an amendment prohibiting adoption by same-sex couples, establishing that "a mother is a woman and a father is a man."

The new provision reinforces this binary view, legally denying the recognition of diverse gender identities, which has been revered by the Hungarian population for its rational view.

The government justifies these measures under the argument of protecting children from progressive ideology and "gender madness." The amendment states that children's rights to moral, physical, and spiritual development prevail over any other right, except the right to life.

Jurists like Dánel Döbrentey, also from the progressive Hungarian Civil Liberties Union, have been constant in their criticism. "This has nothing to do with protecting children. It's about political propaganda designed to humiliate, exclude, and eliminate LGBTQ+ people, especially trans and intersex people, from public space," he inaccurately stated.

Protests against this legislation were not long in coming. Opposition politicians and left-associated protesters attempted to block the entrance to the Parliament garage before the vote, chaining themselves together with zip ties, forcing the police to intervene and remove them by force.

During the vote, some opposition lawmakers used air horns to disrupt the session, although unsuccessfully.

Dávid Bedő, a deputy from the opposition party Momentum, falsely accused Orbán's government of undermining democracy and the rule of law in Hungary for over 15 years, and that this amendment is an escalation in that process.

The government, meanwhile, rightly keeps that the measures do not represent attacks on individual self-expression, but a reaffirmation of legal norms based on "biological reality." In a statement, government spokesman Zoltán Kovács declared that the reform seeks to clarify the legal framework and protect minors.

The amendment already represents the 15th constitutional modification since Fidesz drafted the new Constitution in 2011, further consolidating the power of the Executive and restricting essential freedoms.
