Due to economic stability, Córdoba received more tourists during the winter holidays.

During July, approximately 850,000 people visited the province and left an estimated expenditure of $284 million

Córdoba had one of its best winter seasons in recent years, with a notable increase in domestic tourism. According to official figures, the province received more than 850,000 people during the July holidays.  This figure far exceeds the same period in 2023, when 765,000 tourists were recorded.

The Córdoba Tourism Agency reported that the economic activity caused by tourism reached 284 billion pesos (625 million dollars). The average daily expenditure per visitor was 102,000 pesos (225 dollars), including categories such as accommodation, gastronomy, transportation, and leisure. Consumption behavior was consistent across different tourist regions of the territory.

The rebound is taking place in a new national economic context, which has brought predictability to travel decisions. "There was sustained movement in different regions with a territorial distribution that benefited both traditional and emerging destinations," provincial government officials highlighted. The highest flow was recorded in the third week of the month, with peaks in Punilla and Calamuchita.

Tourism recovers and grows amid a more predictable economic context

Tourism sector representatives acknowledged that the good level of activity was possible thanks to a more stable environment. "This positive final result reflects the coordinated work with municipalities and the province, and the commitment of the entire sector regarding price maintenance and access to various promotions that had a positive impact," Gustavo Peralta stated.

Occupancy was acceptable in much of the province, even in less traditional destinations. The schedule of activities helped maintain a steady flow of tourists throughout the month. In addition, promotions made it easier for different audiences to access affordable options without sacrificing quality.

This highlights the importance of the current economic order in sustaining tourism interest. Darío Capitani, president of the Córdoba Tourism Agency, indicated that there was a notable increase compared to the previous year. He also valued the territorial distribution that succeeded in attracting visitors to more regions of the provincial map.
