After the halt to the bidding process to buy security drones by the Court of Audit, the controversy continues to escalate.
Now, the Minister of Security, Juan Pablo Quinteros, has filed a criminal complaint against the opposition majority of the aforementioned court for abuse of authority.
“We consider that we are facing a clear abuse of authority with two specific objectives: to obstruct indefinitely the acquisition of cutting-edge technology, with the negative impact that this has on public and citizen security, and to provide a political leader with a discursive framework to launch a false and stigmatizing campaign, using public institutions for personal purposes that are totally unrelated to those established by law,” Quinteros said about the filing.
