In recent weeks, a nostalgic trend has become a sensation on Instagram: celebrities and public figures have started sharing photos from 2016, a year that in 2026 will mark a decade.
The idea is simple but effective: go back to the past and show what those first moments were like that now seem distant. Franco Colapinto was not left out of the trend and decided to join in with a post that quickly went viral.
The Argentine driver shared a gallery of images from that initial stage of his career and accompanied the post with a message full of humor and emotion.

"2016! So loooong ago, so vintage and how much I enjoyed it!! How old I am! 12-year-old me", he wrote, unleashing a flood of reactions among fans and colleagues.

Back then, Franco Colapinto was just 12 years old and was beginning to make his way in the world of karting. During 2016 he achieved one of his first major milestones by being crowned national Pre-Junior champion, an achievement that marked a turning point in his sporting career.
