Franco Colapinto stood out again in Formula 1 after completing a solid performance at the Belgian Grand Prix, where he managed to finish in the points zone after advancing from 12th and 13th place. After the race, the Argentine analyzed the performance of his car, explained the complications he faced during the competition, and also left a funny message thinking about the final of the Argentine National Team.
When asked about his outstanding starts, Colapinto humorously replied: "Yes, it's becoming a habit".
He then took stock of the race and highlighted the result obtained: "Happy, it was a good race. We scored points coming from 12th, 13th and I regained positions. We had bad luck after the stop under Virtual Safety Car. With the medium tires, I was struggling a bit due to graining, the tire opened up a bit and I lost pace. When I put on the hard tires, I was fast".
The driver also explained that the Spa-Francorchamps layout forced him to constantly defend his position due to the long straights of the circuit.
"It was complicated because with the long straights, the others got very close to me when I was ahead of them. But there were nice overtakes, like the one on Hülkenberg. It was a nice maneuver. It was a good weekend and scoring points with the car that is struggling is positive", he emphasized.
After the race, the driver left Formula 1 for a few minutes to talk about the other major event of the Sunday: the World Cup final between Argentina and Spain.
Colapinto expressed all his excitement for the match and assured: "No, if it started like this on Sunday, imagine how it continues. Good start. We go to the night. I told you that the important stuff was coming at night. This didn't matter that much. I was happy to score, but imagine if something happens at night".
