Franco Mastantuono will be officially presented at Real Madrid on his birthday.

The former River player will celebrate his 18th birthday with a ceremony at Ciudad Real Madrid, where he will sign his contract and wear the Merengue jersey for the first time

Two months after his signing was confirmed, Franco Mastantuono will have his official presentation as a Real Madrid player this Thursday, August 14, on a day that will coincide with a very special date, as it is his 18th birthday. The event will take place at Ciudad Real Madrid starting at 1:00 p.m. in Spain (8:00 a.m. in Argentina).

The ceremony will include a formal event with president Florentino Pérez, the signing of his six-season contract, and his first formal contact with the press as a Madridist footballer.

In addition, it has been confirmed that he will wear the number 25 jersey, a number that in the club's recent history has been worn by renowned goalkeepers such as Iker Casillas and Thibaut Courtois, as well as young outfield talents who later became established, including Eduardo Camavinga, Vinicius Júnior, and Rodrygo.

Mastantuono arrived at the club from River, in a deal valued at 45 million euros (49.5 million dollars) including variables, which positions him as one of the season's major prospects. The Argentine will have only his last name on his back, following the tradition that Madrid usually applies with young players starting their careers in European elite football.

Since his arrival in the Spanish capital on August 3, the midfielder has trained with the squad and now aims to be included in the list for the team's official season debut, scheduled for August 19 at Santiago Bernabéu against Osasuna. Los Merengues arrive at that match after a 4-0 win over WSG Tirol in Austria, with goals from Éder Militão, a brace from Kylian Mbappé, and one from Rodrygo.
