In an interview with Gossip, the Net TV show, "El Chaqueño" explained: “The situation is complicated for both. The girls were going to school with their puppies, but Mauro didn't agree to take them. Those animals are an emotional support for them, especially when they have to spend 15 days separated from their mother.”

He also denied that Wanda planned the conflict to harm Icardi. “The idea was for him to spend time with the girls, there was no strategy. Many people speak without knowing and judge a situation that happens in many families, it's a difficult issue,” he expressed.
