Colombia 0-0 Portugal
Colombia would start strong in their battle for the group lead with three clear chances to go up 1-0. First, a header from Jhon Córdoba after a rebound in the area that would go over the crossbar, several minutes later, a shot from Luis Díaz that Diogo Costa would manage to save, and finally, an attempt from Jhon Arías that Rubén Neves would clear off the line.
Despite this early momentum and continuing to apply pressure in search of the 1-0, the cooling break would cool not only the bodies of the South American players but also their game.
