Gustavo Sofovich crashed a motorcycle in Palermo during the early hours of this Tuesday. A 23-year-old woman was taken to Rivadavia Hospital due to an arm injury.
The accidentoccurred minutes after 5 in the morning, at the intersection of Salguero and Martín Coronado. Later, the theater producer took a breathalyzer test, which came back negative.

There were two food service employees on the motorcycle returning from work. According to Sofovich, the motorcycle tried to pass on the right side of his car and ended up touching it.
After the impact, the motorcycle fell, and the young woman riding as a passenger suffered a injury to her arm. The driver was unharmed, and she was taken to Rivadavia Hospital.
Sofovich stated that he got out of the car immediately after the crash and called 911. The emergency services arrived at the scene and assisted the woman.
The producer remained in his vehicle while the police operation was underway. Finally, minutes before 7:30, he got out of the car and underwent the test.
The result of the breathalyzer test was 0. Sofovich also claimed that the motorcycle driver had the same result.

After the test, the producer briefly spoke with the media and denied having barricaded himself inside his vehicle.

In an interview with Radio Mitre, Sofovich shared that he had woken up at 5 in the morning and had gone out to buy two yogurts. Upon returning, he was driving on Salguero when the crash occurred.
“It touches me, it falls, and I automatically get out of the car and call 911,” he explained about the sequence of the accident.

He also stated that he stayed inside the vehicle because it was cold. “I am sitting in the car because it’s cold,” he noted.
Later, during a brief press conference, he referred to the incident again. “The breathalyzer test gave me 0, and the motorcycle driver too,” he affirmed.

Additionally, he asserted that both were responsible for the accident. “I know that we both caused the accident. I immediately called 911,” he expressed.
The producer left after signing the report
Sofovich explained that the prosecutor initially did not allow him to speak with the media. He indicated that he was later released and was able to leave the scene.
“The prosecutor wouldn’t let me go talk to the media; I’ve been released,” he stated during his declaration to the press.
The producer withdrew after signing the minutes
Close to 8 in the morning, after signing the corresponding report for the accident and talking to the media, the theater producer left the scene.
During the interview, he also clarified that his vehicle is not armored. “It has reinforced windows to prevent a hammer blow,” he explained.
