Evelyn Von Brocke's harsh statement after being kicked out of APTRA

Evelyn Von Brocke made a forceful statement after APTRA decided to expel her as a member, a decision that was made after an assembly marked by shouting, clashes and an atmosphere of extreme tension. The measure came after the conflict that she had with Marcelo Polino and unleashed a strong internal dispute within the organization.

Through a post on her Instagram account, the journalist expressed her anger and described the sanction as arbitrary. "I was expelled unfairly and unjustifiably, for defending my colleagues' interests, for being empathetic with the weakest, for fighting for a health care plan for everyone", she wrote at the beginning of her message.

In the same text, Von Brocke reported that she was mistreated during the process and stated that she was not able to exercise her right to a defense. "I was degraded and vilified, without being allowed to present my statement. I was humiliated as a professional and as a woman", she stated, in a visibly indignant tone.

Far from considering the conflict closed, the journalist indicated that she will move forward through legal channels. "The most regrettable thing is that with this decision they intend to silence me. But, at the same time, this situation has strengthened me", she maintained, and added that she left the case in the hands of her lawyers, reserving the right to initiate the corresponding legal actions.

Why was Evelyn Von Brocke expelled from APTRA?

The expulsion was decided on Thursday, December 18, when APTRA members met to vote on Von Brocke's continuity within the institution. The trigger was the circulation of a private chat in which the journalist referred to Marcelo Polino's alleged assets, which led to a strong public confrontation between the two.

Polino argued that those statements exposed him to a situation of personal risk and formally requested his colleague's expulsion. The issue caused an intense internal debate and divided opinions among the members, although the majority ultimately opted for her removal.

After the assembly, Von Brocke reported that she experienced moments of violence as she was leaving the venue. According to her account, she received insults and even a shove from some colleagues, in the midst of a situation that she described as chaotic and hostile.

Another of the most tense episodes of the meeting was the clash with Susana Rocasalvo. According to Von Brocke's version, the host allegedly confronted her in front of those present and allegedly requested that she also be removed from other workplaces, a development that added even more controversy to the outcome.
