
ARCA: how to buy products from Tierra del Fuego without taxes

ARCA launched a simplified regime for purchasing products made in Tierra del Fuego without paying taxes. The measure targets individuals living in the continental territory who use these products for personal consumption.
Buyers may purchase up to three units per product per year and a maximum of 3,000 dollars FOB per purchase order. Here we explain what you need to know to take advantage of it.

What does ARCA's simplified import regime consist of?
The measure, which is already in effect, was established by Decree 334/2025 and General Resolution 5727/2025. It seeks to facilitate direct purchases from producers in Tierra del Fuego without intermediaries or extra fiscal costs.
This allows cheaper and more direct access to technological products and household appliances manufactured on Isla Grande.
Key requirements for tax-free purchases
- Purchase limit: maximum of 3 units per product type per year.
- Limit per purchase order: up to 3,000 dollars FOB.
- For personal use only, resale is prohibited.
- It is mandatory to prove the origin of the products according to customs regulations.

Products eligible for purchase under the regime
Televisions, notebooks, microwaves, air conditioners, cell phones, and other electronic devices manufactured in the region are included.
The Secretariat of Industry and Commerce confirmed that this system streamlines the arrival of goods to the continent and reduces bureaucracy, achieving more competitive prices.

What information must be included in the purchase order
For the transaction to be valid, the order must contain detailed information that allows ARCA to monitor compliance:
Transaction information
- Number and date of the purchase order
- Full name and CUIT of the seller

Product information
- Quantity and product code
- Clear description of the item
- Unit and total FOB price
Buyer information
- Full name and CUIL/CUIT
- Email and phone number
- Full address with postal code and province

Mandatory validation text
The order must include the statement: "I declare that this transaction is carried out under the regime provided for in Decree No. 334/25."
