'Chori,' from the faction 'Los Dueños de Avellaneda,' was arrested for robbery and a home invasion in the suburbs. He also allegedly has ties with San Telmo's barra

During the security operation for the Copa Sudamericana match between Independiente and Boston River, a club hooligan with an arrest warrant was detained. This is Ariel Antonio Zuleta, better known as "Chori," who is part of the front line of the faction known as "Los Dueños de Avellaneda," who also reportedly has active participation in the San Telmo hooligan group.

The hooligan was arrested at the intersection of Alsina and Sagol streets by personnel from the 1st Police Station of Avellaneda, in an operation coordinated with the Tribuna Segura program. The 48-year-old detainee had two active arrest warrants, one for a violent robbery in the City of Buenos Aires and another for a home invasion in the Buenos Aires suburbs.

Upon identification, it was confirmed that there was an arrest warrant issued by the National Criminal and Correctional Court No. 43, led by Dr. Paula González, for "aggravated robbery with the use of a firearm and weapon abuse". The UFI No. 4 of the Avellaneda-Lanús Judicial Department, directed by Dr. Pérez, and the Guarantees Court No. 3 endorsed the arrest. His transfer to the City of Buenos Aires was arranged to be at the disposal of the Buenos Aires justice system, with the intervention of the corresponding General Defender's Office.

The background of "Chori"

The hooligan is being investigated for his alleged involvement in a robbery perpetrated on January 23 at a textile factory in Parque Patricios, at Av. Amancio Alcorta 1800. There, along with other individuals, he entered armed, subdued the staff, and stole approximately 6 million pesos and 1,900 dollars. In his escape, he fired at a patrol car, hitting the windshield without causing injuries.

Additionally, Chori was implicated in a home invasion committed on March 13 at a residence located at Estanislao del Campo 1400, in the Avellaneda district. Various items and a Renault Stepway vehicle were stolen from the place. For this incident, five raids were ordered in March by the Guarantees Court No. 3 of Avellaneda-Lanús, although without positive results.
